Join us as we meet and learn from Guillermo “Willie” Berman Ramirez, a missionary with the General Board of Global Ministries of the UMC. Willie is currently serving in his home country of Mexico as the Mexican Methodist Border Mission Coordinator, based in Reynosa. Willie has been involved in similar ministries since 2001, working with Volunteer in Mission (VIM) teams from annual conferences across Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Ohio, Tennessee, and Iowa.

Throughout his ministry, Willie has seen tremendous growth in social outreach efforts within the communities served by these mission teams. New initiatives, such as sewing classes, woodworking shops for men, medical clinics, scholarship programs, Bible distribution, construction of homes, schools, and community centers, as well as breakfast and lunch programs, have flourished. Additionally, he has been instrumental in developing a Personal Energy Transportation (P.E.T.) Shop and a variety of craft programs.
