Support summer programming at Wesley-Rankin by volunteering or providing supplies for their B3X summer camp.
B3X is a STEAM-based camp that aims to provide 180 students with individualized and hands-on learning experiences in science, math, reading, and art. Volunteers are needed to support classroom instruction, lead small group activities, chaperone field trips, or offer specialty clubs.
Camp will be from June 10 - July 24, Mon -Thurs, 9 am - 3 pm. Volunteer shifts are available in the morning from 8:30 am - 12 pm, afternoon shifts from 12:30 pm - 3:15 pm, and all-day shifts from 8:30 am - 3:15 pm. You can sign up for one shift or both to spend the whole day with the students!
The minimum age to volunteer is 14 years old. All volunteers must complete the application, sexual abuse awareness training, and online orientation. Volunteers over 18 must also complete a criminal background check.
B3X Summer Camp utilizes hands-on activities to reinforce core learning in science, math, reading, and art. In order for the curriculum to be engaging and individualized for all 180 students, they require a lot of supplies. Please consider supporting B3X by purchasing supplies from the Amazon Wishlist.
