Snack supper is a light meal served between junior high and senior high UMYF on Sunday evenings. There is an opening for a snack supper leader who plans, shops, cooks, and serves the meal with the help of volunteers. There is also a need for snack supper volunteers who help cook, serve, and clean up afterwards. The time commitment for both positions is one Sunday night a month that you select. Volunteers typically gather at the church around 5 pm and leave by 7 pm.
Teachers are needed for the 7th and 8th grade classes. They meet on Sunday mornings at 9:45 am. Teachers lead lessons in a team teaching set up alternating Sundays. The time commitment is roughly two Sundays a month from September - May. The only requirements of our teachers are that they have the desire and ability to assist with the Christian education of our youth, as well as the passion to work and learn along with adolescents.
From September - May, the senior high youth gather on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8 pm for bible study. A home is needed for the group to gather for 1-3 months at a time. The only responsiblity of the host is to welcome us into their home. Ideal homes are those centrally located in Richardson - in close proximity to the church.
