A Sense of Community and Accepting Nature - Cole & Jennifer's Story |
Posted by sklein 1 Comment(s) Add a Comment
We had been searching for a church in the area and attended the traditional service off-and-on, but we never felt a true connection. On a whim, we decided to give Access a try and we both came out of the first service blown away. Our first Access service was interactive, with rotating stations where we engaged in prayer over different topics and provided written responses for questions asked. On the car ride home, we both agreed that for the first time in our quest to find a church home that we couldn’t wait for the next Sunday to arrive for another trip to Access. Since that day, we have become members at FUMCR and haven’t looked back. We love Access and continue to visit for the sense of community, their accepting nature and the real-world applications provided by Rich and Julie.

Feeling Connected - Rachel and Scott's Story |

We found Access the summer of 2013. The evening worship community was extremely attractive to us, as it allowed us to have another weekend morning. Once we set foot inside of FUMCR we knew we had found our church home. It was through Access that we found our church community which led us to get involved in Group Life. Our group has been together now for over three years. We look forward to seeing our group on a weekly basis and sharing a potluck meal along with a few belly laughs. Whenever we attend church, we feel even more connected when we are able to see and greet our friends. The music and community involvement continues to draw us into this space. We look forward to continuing to serve our community through involvement with Access.

Relatable Sermons and Community - Amanda's Story |

When my husband and I got married we were both going to my church. We were looking for a church home we could call ours when Pastor Rich invited us to Access. We both really enjoyed the contemporary worship service and right away were introduced to a group of others in the same life stage as us. We love Access for how relatable the sermons are and how welcoming the staff is, but our community group really sealed the deal for us. Having a group of friends to turn to for encouragement and to share our joys, sorrows, and prayers with really made Access our home. We now have two little boys and are so excited about all that Access has to offer for families and look forward to seeing our sons grow and learn about Jesus.
