SPAN Children's Activity Coordinator

The 3rd Monday of each month Single Parent Action Network (SPAN) has a family dinner (6-6:45), followed by a program for parents (6:45-7:45) and activities for children - homework, crafts or games in the gym or on the playground. All children are picked up by 8 pm.

A Children's Activity Coordinator (CAC) is needed to recruit MinistrySafe volunteers each month to lead seasonal crafts (2), oversee the playground/gym (4), help with homework (2) and people (2) to walk with our special needs child that can do probably 1000-2000 steps after dinner. Children can range in age from 4-16+.

SPAN Leadership meets on the 2nd Monday of every other month, 6:15-7 pm. CAC should attend or provide update for each meeting. November 13th is the next meeting.

CAC may use SignUp Genius or another method to recruit and schedule volunteers.

Children's Sunday School Volunteers - January to May

Children’s Ministries has been dreaming of a fresh way to bring a new level of energy to our children's Sunday morning offerings. Well, dreams are coming to reality starting January of 2018!

In this new, modified approach to Sunday school, our children will not just learn, but also experience Bible stories and lessons in new and exciting ways. Our approach opens the door for multiple generations within families and other kind-hearted volunteers to build relationships and share faith with our kids. There is a place for everyone to get involved!

Imagine this:
• One bible story taught for a full month for deeper understanding
• Hands on activities in art, cooking, drama, games, movie connection, storytelling and science
• Volunteers sign up to teach one lesson for a full month to a different grade level each week
• Children and teachers experiencing God together
